THREE SIMPLE STEPS
How audio to text works
Choose your audio recording.
Transcribe it with WhisperX.
Listen, correct the words, and export your text.
Bring your own recording
Use a recording you have permission to process: a voice memo, lecture, interview, or dictated draft. A clear voice and a quiet recording environment make review easier. This tool accepts file uploads rather than fetching audio from third party links.
Read and listen in one place
Use the audio player alongside the transcript to check names, technical terms, and passages that are hard to hear. Click a timestamp to return to a segment, change its text, and keep an editable copy separate from the original machine result.
Choose text or timed data
Download TXT for ordinary reading or JSON for a structured workflow. SRT and VTT are useful when your audio belongs with a video or player. Word timestamps may be incomplete for some terms; missing information stays visible rather than being presented as a measured time.
Follow the upload and export guide ↗CHECK THE OUTPUT YOURSELF

BEFORE YOU START
Prepare the file. Know what you will get.
Supported recordings and limits
Upload MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, or OGG audio. This hosted release supports English speech. Use a file you have permission to process; external links and live recording are not supported.
The one-time trial includes 5 processing minutes, with files up to 100 MB and 5 minutes long. Paid accounts support up to 500 MB and 60 minutes per file. Confirm the measured duration before starting; a failed task releases its reserved minutes. See the minute packs.
Choose the right next step
To review speech beside its original video, use video to text. For interview turns and participant labels, explore speaker diarization. For caption import, use the subtitle generator.
All workflows use the same WhisperX engine and account. Your results are private, with 7-day trial retention and 30-day paid retention. Download what you need to keep. Read the workflow guide and recording privacy information before your first upload.
GOOD TO KNOW
Audio to text questions
Can I use it for a voice memo?
Yes. Upload the recording as a supported audio file. Check the measured duration and charge before running the task.
Can it translate or summarize my recording?
This hosted release supports English speech only. Non-English recordings are not supported yet. Translation and summaries are not part of the service.
What if my recording contains no speech?
Silence and background sound are not useful inputs for a speech transcript. The service reports processing problems; automatic transcription can also make mistakes, so always listen back.
